2. Why it is different

Most businesses keep what they earn. We are a registered non-profit that keeps only what it needs to run, at the lowest cost we can. After tax, two thirds of every commission is set aside for charity today, and that share rises as we grow, toward a long-term goal of more than 90%.

of what is left (67%) is set aside in a transparent account. We run on the lowest cost we can, so almost all of it survives to the cause.

When a round closes, the five to ten causes with the most votes are paid from that account, largest share first, by signed agreement. Up to 10% may go to a person or family in need.

These commissions are earned through our members today, and increasingly by For Better Purpose directly. That share rises as we grow, toward a long-term goal of more than 90%.

Causes you can vote for

Eight areas, from environment and education to clean water, health and disaster relief. Among the causes on the list are One Tree Planted, WWF, The Ocean Cleanup, charity: water, Room to Read and Doctors Without Borders.
